Septic Tanks
Septic tanks come in all shapes and sizes and can be constructed from brick, concrete and fibre glass. Should you not be able to reach a mains sewer, you may have to install a septic tank and soakaway to deal with the waste from your home or commercial property.
Septic tanks aren't true sewage treatment systems. In a septic tank waste is allowed to settle, so that the liquid and solid waste separates. The liquid waste can flow out into some natural filtration system to ensure that it is not polluting the environment, while the solid waste is removed on a regular, albeit infrequent, basis. There are various ways that a septic tank can be constructed to encourage this separation, and these vary depending on the capacity of the system and the available space.
DSC Civils offer a professional septic tank service across the UK, both installing new systems and providing ongoing maintenance and repair of existing septic systems. While all septic tank systems are designed to work all on their own, there are circumstances where they need some work.

Soakaway Systems
Soakaway systems provide an efficient way for rain and storm water to be dispersed into the ground quickly and evenly. They can be constructed from many different materials, and vary in size and shape, dependant on the water dispersal time required. The size must be decided in advance, as it forms part of the building regulations soakaway application.
