Cess pits and septic tanks are one way of overcoming the problem, however the real solution is the installation of a compliant Rising Main, with the appropriate Pumping Stations, connecting to the main sewer.

Soakaway systems provide an efficient way for rain and storm water to be dispersed into the ground quickly and evenly. They can be constructed from many different materials, and vary in size and shape, dependant on the water dispersal time required. The size must be decided in advance, as it forms part of the building regulations soakaway application.
